The MIA IV 018 Eq features a solid Cedar top, flamed Ovangkol back and sides, Mahogany neck and South American Roupana fingerboard. MIA IV series is among the first in the world to be fitted with the new Fishman FLEX Blend preamp, including piezoelectric, condenser microphone and onboard tuner; combined with the careful wood choice makes it an innovative and excellent guitar from every point of view. As the name implies, MIA IV is the fourth generation of the successful MIA series launched over 10 years ago.
Differences compared to previous series are notable: the gloss finish, the name "MIA" on the headstock, South American Roupana bridge and fingerboard, Vintage-style open-geared tuners with butterbean knobs, the preamp and Ovangkol back and sides stand out. The Ovangkol is a highly figured hard wood used mainly for sides and back, and offers a warm and full-bodied sound close to that of the Rosewood.
This series combines in the best way the individual needs of professional players with a quality-price ratio that has always distinguished the Eko brand.
