The Piezo Booster is the Eko Guitars bridge adjustment device, essential to correctly restore the bridge pressure on a piezo sensor. The result is the perfect volume balance between the strings and a dB gain on the output volume.
An absolute novelty in the world market of accessories for musical instruments, a device never produced before and which finally sees the light thanks to Eko Guitars. We are talking about the Piezo Booster, designed and patented by Maestro Roberto Fontanot.
What is it for? Here are the words of M ° Fontanot that explain everything:
“In powered guitars the sensors use pressure and, without pressure, the sensors don't work while, with too much pressure, the sensors turn off. Due to the effect of the incidence of the strings with respect to the bridge, the bridge always tends to rotate and therefore positioning itself cut with respect to the piezo: this involves an imbalance in volume between the strings as the bridge itself does not rest uniformly on the sensor. The Piezo Booster allows mechanically to bring the bridge back orthogonal and therefore to discharge the pressure correctly on the sensor. The result will therefore be that of having the volume of the strings always balanced and a gain of a few dB on the general volume.”
To use the Piezo Booster correctly, just place it on the bridge (as seen in the photo) and hit it 2/3 times with a good amount of power and the bridge will be immediately realigned perfectly.
